I was just wondering, if you are writing a fic, is it OK to use any and all characters from GBWC or do you have to get permission?

Shouldn't be a problem as long as you follow the guidelines. To prevent confusion, this is what I'm talking about: When your story is done, it is submitted to the membership. The most common approach is to send it to me, so that I can html code it and upload it to the GBWC web site. A temporary url will be created, and sent to the members so that they may see the story. It is acceptable, though, to email the story as a Word or Text file to the other members. If other "real" members of GBI--ie Vincent Belmont, Ben King, Bo Holbrook, Mick Nielson, ect--appear in the story, they will need to be sent the temporary url or the file as well. The New York Ghostbusters (original and Extreme) can appear, but 1. have a good reason for it and 2. I'm gonna be insistant that portrayals of GBNY conform to the fan fic continuity that's already been established. Go here for more information. The standard interval for review and comment before "officially" posting the story (moving it to it's final url and announcing the story on GBI and GBHQ) is two weeks. If you have any comments, email the writer and/or me or post in the Case File Preview thread. The whole reason to have a two-week preview period is to ensure that everybody is satisfied with their portrayal in the story. While I post the final urls and a brief blurb on GBHQ and GBI, on this board the writer of the story is responsible for creating a new thread in this board's Case File forum. You certainly do not have to use the blurb I write.
